1979年-1984年  就读于上海第二军医大学海军医学系，84年获医学学士学位。同年考入北京军事医学科学院，师从秦伯益院士从事新药评价研究，87年获医学硕士学位，后留院工作。

1992年  赴美留学，就读于南加州大学药学院分子药理毒理学系，1997年毕业并获博士学位。

1998年  通过美国国家医学博士认证资格考试，同年进入Harbor-UCLA Medical Center 病理系做住院医生。

2001年  获准提前毕业并进入UCLA Medical Center/Medical School 做血液病理Fellow，师从世界著名病理学家Jonathan Said 教授。期间并师从世界最著名的淋巴瘤专家Elaine Jaffe 博士（美国国立卫生研究院NIH）学习淋巴瘤诊断技术。2002年毕业。

2000年至今  持加州行医执照；2006年至今持北卡罗来那州行医执照。

2002年  通过美国国家病理医生认证资格考试（Board Certified in AP, CP）

2004年  通过美国国家血液病理医生认证资格考试 （Board Certified in

Hematology/Pathology）

2007年  通过美国国家分子遗传病理医生认证资格考试（Board Certified in Molecular Genetic Pathology），成为首批美国国家认证的分子遗传病理学医生。

2002年-2003年  在加州首府（Sacramento）Sutter General Hospital, Mercy General Hospital, Sutter Memorial Hospital and Roseville General Hospital 任血液学病理医生。

2003年至今  在全美最大的医学诊断集团（LabCorp）Integrated Oncology 部门任资深血液病理医生及资深分子遗传病理学医生和医学部副主任。同时任职Assistant Clinical Professor于Harbor-UCLA Medical Center。
